All of our nature
tours and hikes are suitable for kids and families. Our naturalists
are trained and experienced in working with children and groups
of diverse ages. We also provide programs geared especially for
specific age groups. Parents are welcome at programs and chaperones
are needed for overnights.

Explore marine life on and under the docks in the Homer Harbor during
Creatures of the Dock tours. Extended
program is geared for adults and kids ages 6-12.

Five-day camp with two overnight camps near Wynn Nature Center and
two overnights across the Bay. Exciting new program will focus on
wildlife forensics, learning about mammals from the signs and clues
they leave behind. August 11-15. $300.
Peterson Bay Field Station
Alaska Coastal Ecology Field Trips
can be arranged during the summer for other organized youth groups.
Program length ranges from two to four days with guided activities
and lodging at Peterson Bay Field Station combined with guided activities

Special Programs
We can design an environmental education program
to fit the needs of your family or organized educational group at
any of our facilities or other facilities such as Kasitsna Bay Lab.
We welcome groups interested in work projects or retreats.
Special programs have been provided to groups such
as Habitat for Humanity, the Alaska Tribal Civilian Community Americorps,
Homer and Kenai Boys and Girls Clubs, the West Coast Connections
Service/Adventure Program, Kenai Peninsula School District Project
GRAD, Alaska Youth for Environmental Action, Girdwood Science Camp,
and the Imaginarium Summer Camp program. |
