Guided and Self-Guided Land Tour at Wynn Nature Center Hikes

Guided hikes provided daily from June 15 - Labor Day. Naturalists guide 1-1 1/2-hour hikes featuring forest and plant ecology and traditional uses of plants at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Self-guided hikes on loop and spur trails to a viewing platform and bog available with accompanying brochures during the open hours of 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Birders and other hikers may use the trails at other times but are asked to contribute the use fee to support educational and land management activities.

User Fee: $7/ person, $6/seniors (60+), $5 for youth under 18, $20 family rate. Group rates available. but please make prior arrangements for group visits. Use of Wynn Nature Center is free for Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies members. Join now!

Learn Your Local Plant Walk provided weekly on Thursdays, June through August, at 10:30 a.m. free of charge.

Fall and Winter Recreation. The Nature Center is open for hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing from October through May on unmaintained trails. The parking lot is kept plowed.
