NATURAL EXPLORATIONS 1.5 – two hours. Programs at Carl E. Wynn Nature Center on bluff overlooking Homer. Aligned with Kenai Peninsula Borough School District science curriculum. Grades 2-6 September.
Guided and Self-Guided Land Tour Hikes Available daily from June 15 - Labor Day. Naturalists guide 1-1 1/2-hour hikes featuring forest and plant ecology and traditional uses of plants at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Self-guided land tour loop and spur trail to viewing platform with accompanying brochure can be hiked during the open hours of 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Fee: $7/ person, $6/seniors, $5 for youth under 18, family rate of $20. Group rates available for more than 10. Please make prior arrangements. The Nature Center is open for winter recreation after Labor Day on unmaintained trails. The parking lot is kept plowed. |
