Homer Spit Yurt
Homer Spit Yurt
Map of Homer

A yurt or ger is a Mongolian invention that provides a cozy, portable shelter and a spacious, round space. Ours is by Nomad Shelters, a Homer-based cottage industry.

This one is in a convenient location on the Homer Spit at the entrance to Ramp 2 of the Homer Harbor. It's the place to find out about our daily schedule of tours and special educational events, make a reservation, share your observations of birds, whales, or spineless critters; buy a t-shirt, or learn about our non-profit work. Our tours across the bay leave from this location.
