Camp in the Field Station’s yurts and be on hand for the early morning low tide tour. Overnight visitors depart the Homer Harbor at 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise arranged and return at 4:00 p.m. the next day. You can also combine your yurt stay with a half-day kayak tour or full-day kayak tour or additional camping and hiking in Kachemak Bay State Park the following day.

Overnight visitors have use of the Field Station kitchen for cooking(electric stove and microwave) and food storage. Each yurt has six bunks and mattresses and floor space and mattresses for two more, but you will need to bring your own sleeping bags and extra pads if desired.

Yurt rental: $25/person or $80 to rent the entire yurt for a family or group.
Yurt rentals are available in combination with tours or with use of trails and area to CACS members. All low tide hikes are accompanied by naturalists to minimize impact to intertidal communities.
