Collecting ICC Data for Alaska
In an effort to learn more about the sources and accumulation patterns of marine debris in Alaska, the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies is collecting ICC data from community-based beach cleanup events throughout the state. We need your help! this data sheet is consistent with the International Coastal Cleanup datasheet, but standardizes the "Items of local concern" section for better data entry, accessiblity, and analysis. Please use this data sheet in all your Alaska beach clean-up efforts and enter the data through the database portal below.
Entering ICC Data for Alaska
Please submit your data thorugh our online data portal. The beach clean-up does not need to be held in conjunction with the International Coastal Cleanup day, however, data must be collected with the standardized datasheet above.
Submitting data can be accomplished in a few easy steps:
1) Register for an acccount by clicking the "Register" link below.
3) Navigate back to this page.
4) Summarize the data from all the volunteers involved in the clean-up onto a single data sheet. Click the "Post Data" link below, and enter your summary data into the fields.
5) Review the data entered into the form and hit "Save." Your valuable data has been submitted to a statewide community-based beach cleanup database.
