Field Trips

BELUGA WETLANDS ECOLOGY Two hours, Beluga Slough and Beluga Lake, Homer. Grades 4-12. April-May.

Goup on Beluga trailThis guided exploration of coastal wetlands compares and contrasts freshwater and saltwater wetlands. The two-hour field trip guides students along the shores of Beluga Lake and Slough in the heart of the Homer area. Students learn how to collect and identify aquatic invertebrates in the field. The Beluga Slough program can be added before or after Alaska Coastal Ecology or Onboard Oceanography Program.

Offered April- May for $25 per class with no minimum for group size. No charge for classes participating in other CACS spring field trips. Contact us for reservations.
